Back in January, we brought you the news regarding our newest treatment – Davines Circle Chronicles – a multi-masking treatment for the hair, designed to target different areas of the hair and scalp to improve and repair the hair’s condition.
We thought it might be nice to get a real feel for the product and process, so we asked our in-house blogger Becky to try out one of the treatments for herself…
Tried and Tested
Without further ado, we handover to Becky to hear about her experience with the treatment.
Hi there, I’m Becky, I’m 38 years old and I live in Grimsby, when the team asked me to try out the treatment, I was really excited. I haven’t used Davines products before so I was intrigued to see how they’d work with my hair, how they smelt and of course felt.
The Masks – “helped rehydrate my scalp which can be prone to drying”
I was welcomed into the salon where I was taken over to the hair washing area. (Charlea – Cutting Club’s, newest team member), Charlea explained the process and which products she’d be using on my hair, she decided to use the ‘Wake Up Circle’ on my scalp which hydrates the scalp and gives volume to the hair and the ‘Renaissance Circle’ on my ends which is a repairing mask for processed and damaged hair. As I have short bleached hair, Charlea explained this combination would help rehydrate my scalp which can be prone to drying after the bleach treatment and the ends would benefit from some repair as all processed hair will encounter some damage through colouring and heat styling.
The treatment itself takes 15 minutes. First, the masks are applied, the time can vary depending on how many masks you’re having or how long/full your hair is. Once all the masks are applied the exclusive hair wrap is put on to enable the treatment to develop and really get into the hair. The wrap itself is similar to an old-fashioned headscarf which is tied to the head creating warmth and allowing the masks to really absorb into the hair.
The Massage – “I could have laid there all day…”
Once you’ve had your five minutes with the masks and wrap on your hair, then comes the message… which in my humble opinion is the best bit! By this point the gorgeous aroma of the masks has really developed, so not only are you getting a scalp massage but it has that true spa treatment feel about it. The scent of the product is delicious, adding to the experience even more and as much as I could have laid there all day, I’m afraid after five minutes it was time to rinse off the product.
I absolutely loved the treatment. For an extra £15, I can’t imagine having my appointment without it now. Not only does it leave your hair feeling refreshed and revitalised, but taking that extra 15 minutes to relax and do something for yourself is really worth every penny. That’s not all though, for that price you get to take a full-sized mask treatment to use at home too, so in terms of value for money, I think it’s incredible.
I found the treatment incredibly relaxing, and it improved the condition of my hair and scalp no end. The fresh scent of the treatment lasted on my hair until I washed it a couple of days later, and everyone commented on how lovely my hair smelled! It gets the thumbs up from me!
